Our Shipping Schedules & Fees

How Plants Are Shipped: We use UPS for shipping. Plants that can be delivered in three days or less will be shipped UPS Ground. Plants taking more than three days will be shipped UPS 3-Day Select. Plants will be delivered to your door. You do not need to sign for them.

When Plants Are Shipped

Your order will be shipping at the proper planting time for your area according to the garden zone you are in. Plants are shipped on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays of each week starting in mid March. Orders will arrive on Thursday or Friday of that week. If necessary to meet our delivery schedule, we may ship the plants by UPS or FED EX Ground and have the plants delivered on a Saturday. We are unable to specify exactly which week each order will be filled or exactly what day UPS will deliver the plants.

You May Request Earlier Shipping Dates, but please remember the destructive danger of frosts.

Plants can be shipped earlier than your garden zone but due to the possible problem of freezing in-route or after you receive your plants we will not be held responsible for freeze damage to plants that are shipped early. Please note that plants are perishable and weather conditions in Michigan may delay shipping. Normal shipping starts in mid-March and continues through the first week or two of June.

Sales Tax

Michigan deliveries will be charged the Michigan State Sales Tax rate of 6% on the total sale including shipping.

Shipping Charges

Individual Plants and our Gardens come in 4-Inch pots. Each of our specially designed shipping boxes will hold up to 12 plants. Shipping charges are based upon the total number of plants/boxes being shipped. Remember we are shipping mainly live plants. Our experience is that the live plants can not travel for more than 3 days and expect to arrive to good condition. This requires us to ship via air to some states at an additional cost. Alaska & Hawaii — call for shipping prices.
